The Blue Iguana Inn was designed for use as six separate or interconnecting suites in various configurations, depending on a guest’s space requirements. The top floor was constructed to accommodate a hot tub and deck. Created in pueblo mission style architecture that’s reminiscent of older Californian and Mexican homes, this two-storey stand-alone was designed by Marc Whitman, an architect, and the owner of the inn.
Great attention to detail complements the Ojai Valley environment and its artistic community. The exterior features solid timber post and beam roof trellis, terra cotta curved roofing and rugged outpost railings while the interior projects a warm, old-world charm with arched entrances, vaulted ceilings and solid timber exposed ceiling beams. Traditional finishes were meticulously chosen to enhance the inn’s ambience including solid hardwood and European tiled flooring, extensive millwork and tiled kitchen and vanity counters in every suite.
